There are so many ways for people to hear about Kidsfirst - they can see a sign when they're walking down the street, a Google or Facebook ad or post might pop up on their screen, or flags might prompt them to take a closer look. Our most popular referral source, according to the quick fire surveys we do, is still friends and family. But there are always multiple 'touch points' that make up a new enrolment - after all, whānau and caregivers are making an important decision for the future of their tamariki. And parents don't always make the decision right away.
Stephanie Olliver from Kidsfirst Linwood sent us this great example:
"Today we had a new family come in. Now, this is what I found interesting: As usual, I asked how they had heard about us, they named a Facebook a group called Parents of Christchurch that is promoting us, and our wheelie sign that they can see from their house. But the tipping point was the flyer! So it took three different modes to get them in the gate."
Stephanie says she's now sold on the multi-pronged approach. "I have also got the Stay and Play flyers up at the local Plunket via Maree the kaiawhina and sent the newsletter ad to Whitau school. We will keep it up."
