In an ever-shifting world, the way customers engage with brands and services continues to change. Kidsfirst’s marketing strategy continues to remain fluid and responsive, too, and we are always trialling new ways to get the Kidsfirst name out there and promote special offers and the ways we are different to the rest.

Promoted Facebook posts and search-marketing are still a core part of Kidsfirst’s approach, and remain effective in helping drive queries, waitlist applications, and enrolments. We use a mix of brand messaging that promotes the ways Kidsfirst is BetterBecause, sales messaging that pushes Get More for those kindergartens that offer it, and across the board, we promote the 20 Hours Free Even for Two Year Olds message. We’ve added a new layer of Kindy Safe content, too, to emphasise the priority Kidsfirst puts on its COVID measures, encourage whānau to support these, and reassure families who might be hesitant about starting – or returning to – kindergarten.

This year, we are also extending the way we use Instagram to feature a wider range of Kidsfirst content.

We have primarily used Instagram in the past to reflect our bicultural commitment. This year, we are also featuring more kindergarten photos and stories and kaiako videos through this channel. Photos, stories and videos featuring kaiako are by far our most popular content across the board – existing whānau love seeing their kaiako front and centre, and friendly faces really make a difference for those deciding whether kindergarten is right for them. This also a great way for Kidsfirst to attract new talent and to inspire the next generation of kindergarten kaiako.

You can follow Kidsfirst on Instagram here, and on Facebook here – encourage your families to follow and share content, too.
