The Marketing Working party worked hard in 2019 to look at ways we can provide some consistency to customers who come into contact with Kidsfirst.
Their ideas will form the basis of new Customer Service Standards that will be launched later this year.
"One of the reasons that whānau choose Kidsfirst is our warm, friendly, welcoming culture," says Manager - Business Development, Jenny Pitama. "We know it can be hard in the middle of a busy kindergarten day to carve out the time and space to give visitors the attention they need, so we want to develop systems and resources to make it easier for kindergartens. We'll be developing tools and processes to encourage consistency across the network and are also identifying what makes a meaningful difference when prospective parents visit. Time is precious, so we want to help teams focus on efforts that deliver the most impact."
Jenny says it has become apparent over the past year that working smarter, not harder, is making the difference to roll and waitlist numbers.
"We hear this all the time, no matter the size of kindergarten or the area it is in, and none of it is new. The things that just keep working time and time again are the things kindergartens have always done: promoting a warm, friendly environment, relationship building with schools, agencies and community services, highly visible teaching teams, taking part in local events, and encouraging word of mouth through strong connections to existing parents."
The Open Day could be a great catalyst for your teaching team to put a programme in place to maintain these things throughout the year. We would love to hear about your successes so we can share them here and use them to help shape the new Standards - you can use the Contact Form to do this.
