It was so good to see everybody at the recent cluster meetings held to date. By the end of this week, I would have met with 46 teaching teams (only 21 to go) – and, once again, it is a great feeling for us all to be in the same room together after all of the limitations of the past two years. Here's hoping this COVID hiatus lasts, though with some recent concerns about a third wave, we all need to remain prepared in the background.
Getting out and about around the network for our cluster meetings is one of my favourite events of the year – it is such an important time to hear from you about what is on your mind, as well as to share developments and Kidsfirst's progress as a whole. Thank you, for again this year being so willing to share your thoughts in such a candid and constructive way. We are a large and diverse network, that is also geographically dispersed, and different things matter to us at different times. One thing remains consistent, though, wherever I go, and that is the strong sense of unity, and determination to keep on offering communities the very best early childhood start in the way we know best – through that very special taonga that is kindergarten.
Thank you again for your warm welcomes – and I look forward to seeing you again closer to the end of term as we celebrate the upcoming holiday season.
Ngā mihi nui,
Sherryll
