Autumn is definitely upon us – with it comes the change of pace that the term break brings, and also the key gatherings of the year, the full staff meeting, the Hui, and next month, the AGM.
No matter the weather, at kindergarten we get out there and get into it, and that's very much the Kidsfirst way. Despite the challenges of the past year, and those that are ongoing, there's a determination and spirit that sits at our core. It's fed by our connectedness, and also by the way we look out for one another.
These are some of the ideas that sit behind the evolution of Kidsfirst's values, as we work towards a new articulation that will resonate with all of us and the times, and guide our work into the future. There'll be an update on progress on this very important haerenga at the staff meeting. My thanks to the working party, that will continue to steward this work in 2023, for their thoughtful approach, and to all of you for your input – there'll be plenty more opportunities for kōrero on this, and the real mahi is only just beginning. The next steps are the ones that matter the most – bringing these ideas to life, and keeping the wairua alive across Kidsfirst, and between and within our teams.
