An earlier start to our New Year advertising, the Open Day, your individual kindergarten efforts and a big advertising boost added up to a very successful start to 2020. The number of new January/February enrolment and waitlist applications across the network has climbed 36% since 2017 - despite the number of total kindergartens being down by four.
The great news is that the number of applications to our ‘Focus’ kindergartens - the 25 or so finding it hardest to maintain or grow rolls or waitlists - are up 56% on that time period, an indicator that our marketing efforts are working hard where they need to be making a difference.
The number of children enrolled with us continues to grow, however the average use of maximum child funded hours across the network is 85.97%, so we can’t take our eye off the ball.
